Studies confirm that participation in extracurricular activities may be associated positively with a good academic, emotional, and behavioural performance. Objectives: To define the characteristics of the entities that provide services of extracurricular activities. Methodology: The investigation arises from a critical approach through the analysis of content of secondary sources. Results: In total, 13 companies were located in Galicia. Of these, 6 belong to the province of Pontevedra, 4 to the A Coruña, 2 to the Lugo and one works at the whole Autonomous Region. The antiquity of them is situated between 2 and 18 years and the number of workers is between 5 and 300. These institutions are private and have a wide range of extracurricular activities, although the most common are sports, arts, languages and academic reinforcement.
