28: MOTIVACIÓN Y COHESIÓN GRUPAL EN LAS AULAS UNIVERSITARIAS: UN CAMBIO DE ACTITUDES A TRAVÉS DE LA INTERVENCIÓN COMUNITARIA
From the needs of the community for intervention it makes both involved increase their level of participation and motivation. Thus, from the practices of the subject of Social and Community Intervention II Degree of Psychology at the University of Santiago de Compostela, were proposed to 142 students asked to identify their needs within the university community with the Aim of which would lead to out an intervention in each, and enhance those aspects deficit for them. Methodology: Each group was responsible for one aspect to improve in the School of Psychology, following the precepts of Community intervention. Results: There was a major motivation in the subject and achieving high levels of involvement changes both students with regard to the increased sense of community, belonging and/or group cohesion, and the development of their environment, getting improvements as opening the computer room (closed for lack of funds), sensitizing students with a talk about not copy (activity had an impact on the Galician newspapers and Galician and Spanish radios), increased sense of belonging through the Christmas decorations of the Faculty and school with their group photos, etc. Conclusions: changing values, attitudes and behaviors of students by involving them in the process of their own change made to improve aspects such as companionship and/or increasing the sense of community. The actions will be more effective the more you achieve involved, from the first phase, all the actors that are part of the social scene.Author(s):
